The Latest Battle Credit Reports and Insurance Companies

A Supreme Court ruling Monday will compel insurance companies to disclose to customers how their credit rating will affect their rates. However, the Court found that two major insurance companies did not recklessly violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The case is expected to have ramifications for a series of pending class action lawsuits on behalf of customers who claim they should have been notified that their credit rating would affect their rates.  Pete Yost, San Francisco Chronicle  06/04/2007
